For 倦子(Juanzi) 2: PSLE Go
Digital art direction and design for short film’s marketing collaterals
倦子 (Juanzi) 2: PSLE-GO is a short film that highlights the high expectations Singaporean kids face regarding academic excellence, as well as the rising suicide rates among children and teenagers in Singapore. It is the sequel to a prior film project focusing on holistic childhood development – ‘倦子: Don't Leave Me, Sunshine ’. The story is told through two archetypical Singaporean families whose children are preparing for their Primary School Leaving Examinations. This short film was initiated, written and produced by Splash Productions.
I was assigned to oversee the digital communication design aspects of the short film, which included the creation of the microsite; e-invites for the private screening; and also the creation of social media pages for outreach and communications. Working closely with the developer, content writers, copy editors, fellow creatives and the PR team, the microsite was set up for the online screening and provided information on the film, while the social media pages were created to allow viewers and followers to get updates and behind-the-scenes content.
